Job summary

Cowan Insurance Group is seeking a Claims Representative to join our Claims team. You will report to the Manager of Claims and handle reporting, management and resolution of property, auto and liability claims for clients.

A strong insurance background and customer service focus are essential. Qualifications include 3–5 years in insurance, knowledge of property, auto and liability policies, and a RIBO license or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of insurance experience with claims and customer service.
• Knowledge of Personal/Commercial property, auto & liability policies.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret policy wordings and explain clearly to clients.
• RIBO license or the ability to obtain.
• CAIB or CIP designation (or working towards) would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for clients through the claims process.
• Provide exceptional customer service via phone queue and online reports.
• Review policy coverage and explain the claims process to clients.
• Maintain accurate records in the claims management system.
• Collaborate with Account Managers and service teams.
