Job summary

HUB International in Burnaby (head office) is seeking a detail‑oriented Claims Administrator to support our claims examiners and liaise with Lloyds and domestic insurers. This role offers hands-on coaching, entry‑level advancement, and a clear path into the insurance industry.

The successful candidate will have 1–2 years of administrative experience, a Level 1 General Insurance License (or willingness to obtain within 6 months), and strong Excel/Word skills to manage bordereaux and payments,

What We’re Looking For

Our Claims Division is seeking a detail-oriented Claims Administrator to join the team. We are looking for an individual who is eager to jump start their Claims career with HUB International. Our Burnaby location is our head office and is centrally located in the Willingdon Business Park. This location is easily accessible by the Gilmore sky train station with many shops, restaurants, and other amenities nearby.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to claims examiners including file set up and payment processing (both internally and in cooperation with external partners)
• Manage several claim bordereaux
• Liaise with external stakeholders, including both Lloyds and domestic insurers, as part of bordereaux management
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including accounting department, to ensure claims payment accounts are reconciled monthly
• Provide back up support for claims intake which may include monitoring claims inboxes, reporting new claims to carriers and recording information in EPIC as needed
• Participate on claims team phone queue
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills, Characteristics ⛿ Qualifications

• 1-2 years of administrative experience
• Industry experience is an asset
• Level 1 General Insurance License or willingness to obtain within 6 months
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Intermediate to advanced MS Office knowledge, with focus on Excel and Word
• Enjoy working in a fast paced, client-focused environment
• Familiarity with EPIC is an asset

The expected salary range for this position is $45,000 to $50,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
