Job summary

Insight Global is seeking a Project Coordinator – Civil Infrastructure to support delivery of complex civil construction projects around the Vancouver region, on site five days a week. You will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to manage documentation, procurement, schedules, and day-to-day execution.

This role requires strong communication and a background in civil construction, with the ability to operate both

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressive construction/project coordination experience.
• Experience with a general contractor.
• Bridge and/or wastewater infrastructure experience.
• Experience supporting civil/infrastructure projects.
• Experience coordinating project team members and subcontractors.
• Experience with RFIs, submittals, shop drawings and change documentation.
• Experience with procurement activities.
• Understanding of schedules, cost controls, and reporting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology.
• Able to work from project site and/or office as required.

Insight Global is looking for a Project Coordinator – Civil Infrastructure to join a growing Canadian general contractor supporting critical infrastructure projects throughout the Vancouver region, on site 5 days per week.The Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Engineers, subcontractors, consultants, and internal project teams to support the successful delivery of complex civil construction projects. This individual will be involved in both field and project coordination activities, helping manage project documentation, subcontractors, procurement, schedules, costs, quality requirements, and day-to-day construction execution.The successful candidate will have previous experience working for a general contractor and exposure to bridge and/or wastewater infrastructure construction. This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being close to the construction, takes ownership of their work, and wants to continue progressing toward Project Management.The organization offers significant long-term advancement opportunities and is targeting substantial growth over the next several years, creating opportunities for high-performing employees to take on increasing levels of project responsibility.

Skills and Requirements

• 2+ years of progressive construction/project coordination experience
• Previous experience working with a general contractor
• Construction experience involving bridges and/or wastewater infrastructure
• Experience supporting civil/infrastructure construction projects
• Experience working with Project Managers, Superintendents, Field Engineers, subcontractors, and consultants
• Experience with project documentation including RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, change documentation, and construction drawings
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, materials, equipment, and/or procurement activities
• Understanding of construction schedules, progress tracking, cost controls, and project reporting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline
• Ability to work from the project site and/or office based on project requirements
