Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our construction team in Vancouver, BC. This role leads day-to-day field execution on civil infrastructure projects, with emphasis on bridge and/or wastewater construction, overseeing safety, quality, schedule, subcontractors, manpower, and construction sequencing.

You will work closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Field Engineers, owners and subcontractors to deliver projects from mobilization through closeout,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience with field leadership.
• Experience as a Superintendent or similar role.
• Bridge and/or wastewater infrastructure delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of heavy civil methods, sequencing and field execution.
• Coordinating multiple subcontractors on active sites.
• Interpreting drawings, schedules and contracts.
• Safety, quality, scheduling and subcontractor management proficiency.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work on projects across the Greater Vancouver area.
• Experience with municipal infrastructure and Canadian general contractors.
• Water/wastewater treatment plant construction, pump stations, and utilities.

Insight Global is looking for an experienced Superintendent to join a growing construction team in Vancouver, BC. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day field execution of complex civil infrastructure projects, with a particular focus on bridge and/or wastewater construction. The Superintendent will provide on-site leadership across safety, quality, schedule, subcontractor coordination, manpower, and construction sequencing. The successful candidate will have strong general contracting experience and the ability to work closely with Project Managers, Project Coordinators, Field Engineers, consultants, owners, subcontractors, and field personnel to successfully deliver projects from mobilization through closeout.

Skills and Requirements

• 5+ years of construction experience, with progressive field leadership responsibilities.


• Previous experience as a Superintendent, Civil Superintendent, Site Superintendent, General Superintendent, or similar field leadership position.


• Demonstrated experience delivering bridge and/or wastewater infrastructure projects.


• Strong knowledge of heavy civil construction methods, sequencing, and field execution.


• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors and disciplines on active construction sites.


• Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and contract documents.


• Strong understanding of construction safety, quality, scheduling, and subcontractor management.


• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.


• Ability to work primarily on project sites throughout the Greater Vancouver area.


• Experience with a Canadian general contractor.


• Experience with municipal infrastructure.


• Water/wastewater treatment plant construction.


• Pump stations and underground utilities.


• Concrete structures.


• Bridge rehabilitation or new bridge construction.


• Earthworks and civil site development.


• Gold Seal certification or relevant construction designation.
