Job summary

OCL Group Inc. in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking an Equipment Operator to support heavy civil projects for CNRL Horizon. Camp and flights from Calgary/Edmonton provided. You will operate rock trucks, excavators, dozers, and packers safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include inspecting equipment, following site plans, and coordinating with ground crews to meet tolerances while adhering to safety policies. Valid CSTS/WHMIS/First Aid/H2S Alive required.

Qualifications

• > Minimum 3 years of heavy equipment operation experience (civil earthworks preferred).
• & Proven experience as a finish grade operator with precision tolerances.
• & Strong knowledge of excavation, grading, compaction, and earthmoving practices.
• & Ability to read and follow construction drawings, grade stakes, and GPS systems (asset).
• & Safety certifications CSTS, WHMIS, First Aid, H2S Alive, Ground Disturbance 201.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in heavy civil environments.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, finish grading, and earthmoving tasks to specifications.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance.
• Follow site plans, grade stakes, and supervisor instructions to meet project tolerances.
• Work collaboratively with ground crews and other operators to ensure safe and productive site operations.
• Assist with general labour or other equipment operation when required.
• Adhere to company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practiced.
