Job summary

Associated Engineering in Edmonton is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Engineer-in-Training to join our team. You will work on infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, water mains, sewers, and pump stations, developing skills from studies to construction inspection.

This role offers flexible/hybrid arrangements, competitive salary, and a clear path toward technical leadership and project management through mentoring, professional development hours, and hands-on client

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering or Civil Environmental Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Registered, or eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skill.
• Committed team player and the ability to work independently.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel within Alberta.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents.
• Prepare contract documents and assist construction management and inspection.
• Support construction inspection and field verification on site.

The opportunity

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Engineer-in-Training to join our team in our Edmonton office.

The successful candidate will join a dynamic team active on infrastructure projects, including roads, drainage, storm water management, water mains, sewers, and pump stations. This position will present many opportunities on a variety of tasks and our expectation will be for the candidate to develop proficient skills in all areas of project delivery, including preparing studies, designs, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, construction management, and construction inspection. You will also have the opportunity to develop a career path focused on technical leadership, project management, client management, or a combination based on your career aspirations and qualifications.
