Job summary

Associated Engineering in Calgary is seeking a Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our team on exciting projects across Alberta. You will participate in field work, design, contract administration and site reviews while developing skills across project delivery.

You will be part of a dynamic team, with opportunities to grow toward technical leadership, project management or client management as you advance your career in a supportive, mentoring environment.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institution.
• Registered, or eligible for registration as an Engineer-In-Training with APEGA.
• Strong commitment to self-development and continuous learning.
• Experience of structural analysis and structural behaviour. Building and/or industrial structural design experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of construction methods and applicable design codes.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively as part of a greater team.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Participate in field work, design, contract administration, and site reviews.

• Collaborate within a dynamic team on infrastructure and buildings projects in Alberta.

The opportunity

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Structural Engineer-in-Training to join our team in our Calgary office. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team active on several exciting projects throughout Alberta. You will have the opportunity to participate in field work, design, contract administration, and site reviews.
