Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Environmental or Process Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Post-graduate degree specializing in water/wastewater is an asset.
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer (APEGA).

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Environmental or Process Engineer-in-Training to join our team in our Edmonton office. The successful candidate will join a team that works on water and wastewater projects throughout Alberta. We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in drinking water and wastewater quality, with an understanding of conventional treatment technologies for both. Piloting and jar testing experience are preferred.

In this position, the candidate will work on the analysis of water and wastewater quality and the selection of treatment technologies for small communities, First Nations, and municipalities throughout Alberta. Work may also include process optimization through data analysis and jar testing, treatment optimization, and the design of treatment facilities, reservoirs, lift stations, and pumping station projects.

The candidate will participate in studies, process modelling and analysis, assessments, reports, hydraulic analysis, preliminary and detailed design, cost estimating, development of specifications and contract documents, tendering, and construction management. Familiarity with the Alberta Environment and Protected Areas standards and the Guidelines for Canadian Drinking Water Quality is an asset. • Undergraduate degree in Civil Environmental or Process Engineering from an accredited post-secondary educational institution.
• Post-graduate degree specializing in water/wastewater process engineering is an asset.
• Eligible for registration as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.

• Experience in the consulting environment is an asset.
• Committed team player.
