Job summary

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned firm, seeks an Intermediate Civil Engineer for our Fort McMurray office to work on municipal infrastructure including water mains, sewers, drainage and roadways. You will contribute to proposals and advance projects from concept through construction while coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Ideal candidates hold an undergraduate Civil Engineering degree, are registered or eligible for P.E.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited post‑secondary institution.
• Registered, or eligible for registration, as a Professional Engineer with APEGA.
• 6 years of municipal engineering experience.
• Experience with design, specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, and commissioning of roads, drainage, water mains, sewers, and pump stations.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel within Alberta.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

The opportunity

Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, Employee-owned Company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Engineer (Intermediate) to join our team in our Fort McMurray office. In this role you will be working on municipal infrastructure projects, including water mains, sanitary sewers, site grading, drainage and roadways. You will provide technical expertise and project coordination while demonstrating resourcefulness, and adaptability in your role. You will have hands‑on involvement in preparing proposals, advancing projects through the concept, design and construction phases. You will also be involved in managing and developing new clients.
