Job summary

Associated Engineering in Edmonton is seeking an experienced Intermediate Civil Design Technologist to join our Edmonton office. You will contribute to civil related design and drafting for municipal and private sector projects including earthworks, drainage and roadways, adhering to standards and client requirements.

You’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, manage tasks with minimal supervision, and have opportunities to advance into a CAD lead role.

Qualifications

• A diploma in civil engineering, or engineering design and drafting, from an accredited technical institution.
• Registered, or eligible for registration with ASET.
• 5+ years experience designing using AutoCAD and Civil 3D, with keen attention to design.
• Familiarity and design experience on civil infrastructure projects.
• Proficiency in MS office software applications such as Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• The work will be performed for a variety of public and private sector clients with a focus on civil related design and drafting, including earthworks, utility piping, surface drainage, and roadways, in both rural and urban municipal settings.
• Excellent communication and strong organizational skills are required.
• The position will also provide you with autonomy as you will be required to complete tasks with minimal supervision and have the ability to move into a project CAD lead role.
