Job summary

Autismservices is looking for a dedicated Childcare Supervisor in Regina to supervise, direct, and support childcare personnel in a residential services setting. The Supervisor will play a key role in ensuring the wellbeing of children and adherence to management standards.

Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of experience in childcare, a commitment to First Nations philosophy, and the ability to work shifts. An Annual Criminal Records Check is required.

The Childcare Supervisor will provide supervision, direction and support to the childcare personnel and children in a residential services (group home) setting. The Childcare Supervisor will be included in the staffing ratio.

Responsibilities

• Respect and promote First Nation philosophy, values and beliefs.
• Adhere to all 4DCFS Inc. policy & procedure manuals.
• Ensure that Behaviour Management Standards are followed.
• Provide coaching & mentoring to Child Care Workers.
• Orient new Child Care Personnel and existing staff on policies and procedures.
• Fill and document all child care shifts.
• Gather and sign off on timesheets, leave forms, and overtime sheets and forward to Payroll/HR prior to cut‑off.
• Follow proper reporting procedures for any critical incidents.
• Forward recommendations regarding shift changes to Manager.
• Complete admissions/discharge process.
• Ensure that all appointments are completed for all children.
• Coordinate and supervise the development and implementation of the Children In Care Plans on a monthly basis in conjunction with Manager, Primary workers, and the child.
• Ensure that Individual Crisis Management Plans (ICMP) are completed and updated as needed.
• Plan mediation/conflict resolution for child when required.
• Ensure accurate Risk Reviews, Safety Contracts and Safety Plans are completed as per standard.
• Report critical incidents as per standards.
• Issue progressive discipline & disciplinary actions and assist in the dispute resolution process.
• Other duties as required.
