Position Summary

The Ministry of Social Services, Government of Saskatchewan, is seeking a Child Protection Assistant Supervisor in Buffalo Narrows to support vulnerable individuals and families. The role contributes to delivering protective, preventative and support services using the Family Centered Case Management and P.R.I.D.E. models, while promoting service excellence, collaboration, innovation and accountability in partnership with Indigenous and community agencies.

The ideal candidate is an inclusive, adaptable and accountable leader committed to public service excellence. They will coach, mentor and guide staff, model respectful leadership, and support service delivery in the absence of a supervisor. The position requires strong collaboration skills and the ability to engage diverse clients and partners, navigate complex situations, and empower both staff and families to achieve positive outcomes.

Key Qualifications & Essential Skills
  • Bachelor of Social Work or Bachelor of Indigenous Social Work from an accredited university recognized by SASW/CASW or CASWE.
  • Communication, critical thinking, digital and data literacy, interpersonal effectiveness, and political and organizational awareness.
  • Flexibility to travel, work evenings and weekends, transport clients, and perform physical tasks up to 20 kg.
