Job summary

The Bethune Childcare Centre is a brand new government licensed Childcare Centre with a Before and After School Program. Bethune Childcare Centre is seeking a passionate and dependable Cook to join our team one day a week.

The cook will prepare nutritious meals and snacks following Canada's Food Guide and the Saskatchewan Childcare Licensee Manual to ensure the children’s health and safety in the Centre.

Qualifications

• Food Safe Certificate
• Certificate in Cooking from a recognized college is preferred but not essential
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• A criminal record check, including a vulnerable sector check

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals and snacks as outlined by the Canada’s Food Guide and the menu requirements of the Saskatchewan Childcare Licensee Manual
• Prepare food to accommodate food allergies or intolerance's, when applicable
• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and storage areas
• Ensure a safe and healthy environment
• Ensure all Public Health procedures are being followed
• Work as part of a team
• To follow the Centre's operational policies and procedures
