Job summary

BrightPath Kids, Okotoks, AB, is hiring a Full-Time Cook to prepare nutritious meals for children in our care, from breakfast to snacks.

You will organize weekly bulk food orders, follow a set weekly menu, and maintain kitchen safety per Public Health rules, while accommodating dietary restrictions for individual children and ensuring clean dishware.

Qualifications

• Food Handling Certification is required.
• Must meet province childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and Infant CPR are required.
• Effective time management skills are essential.
• Experience cooking for large groups is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and snacks.

What will you be doing?

As a Cook, you will prepare nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and snacks for the children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Organizing orders for bulk food weekly and daily shopping as needed.
• Preparing meals from a set menu with recipes provided weekly.
• Ensuring safety and sanitization in the kitchen environment as per Public Health requirements.
• Understanding dietary restrictions in centre for individual children.
• Washing dishes after meals.
• Other duties as assigned.
