ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for a Software Engineering Team Lead to join our software engineering team in a permanent role. Our team is primarily frontend-focused, working with Agile methodologies to develop web tools and components that power a suite of white-label loyalty solutions.

We are a highly motivated and collaborative team working with a variety of technologies, with full visibility and ownership of our tech stack. We take pride in our culture of teamwork, knowledge-sharing, and celebration, creating a supportive environment where everyone can be their authentic selves at work.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Lead the daily development activities of your team, providing clear direction to all team members.
• Review and manage the performance of your direct reports, conducting periodic performance evaluations.
• Coordinate team lunches, outings, and celebrations.
• Share responsibility for your team’s technical health, including architecture, best practices, reliability, security, and more.
• Mentor team members to help them grow as contributors and technical leaders.
• Spend 50% of your time on hands-on development tasks.

YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO:

• Has experience leading software projects or development teams.
• Has experience building backend applications.
• Is passionate about mentoring and developing others.
• Cares deeply about applying best practices in software design, testing, documentation, and support.
