Overview :

Langara Fishing Lodge, nestled in the breathtaking landscapes of Haida Gwaii, invites dedicated and skilled culinary professional to join our team as a Breakfast Chef. This unique opportunity allows you to work in a dynamic kitchen environment on a floating barge, where the beauty of nature meets rich cultural heritage.

Key Responsibilities :

• Execute guest breakfast service, which begins at sunrise and concludes at 11 AM, adjusting to the varying times of sunrise throughout the season.
• Start early shifts to supply buffet breakfast for staff at either 8 AM or 7 : 30 AM, depending on the day’s schedule.
• Open the kitchen independently, ensuring all necessary preparations are complete before service begins.
• Work independently while managing time efficiently to meet the demands of breakfast service.
• Handle the pressure of simultaneous guest arrivals, ensuring a smooth and efficient breakfast service.
• Manage breakfast preparation for upcoming shifts and for your weekly day off, ensuring a seamless transition between shifts.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and time management to thrive in a fast-paced and tight-knit kitchen environment.
• Collaborate with the culinary team, being aware of their responsibilities and fostering a supportive work environment.
• Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas.
