The Role:

We seek a driven, hands-on Sous Chef who thrives in a high-energy, collaborative kitchen environment. You will work closely with the Head Chef to lead, inspire, and ensure quality, consistency, and creativity in our food offerings. You will also be responsible for operational excellence, mentoring staff, and supporting menu development.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations for smooth service.
  • Support the Head Chef in team leadership, training, and scheduling.
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes to high standards.
  • Maintain food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and food costs.
  • Collaborate on menu development and seasonal updates.
  • Mentor junior kitchen staff and foster a supportive team culture.
  • Act as kitchen lead when the Head Chef is off-duty.
  • Coordinate with front-of-house management for guest satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • 2-3 years supervisory kitchen experience.
  • Strong skills in kitchen operations, food prep, and leadership.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure during busy service times.
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Food Safe certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • A passion for food, teamwork, and growth.
Salary and Perks:
  • $27-$32/hour plus tips, based on experience.
