Job summary

Rutland Dental Centre in Kelowna, BC is seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join a modern, expanded clinic. You will support dentists and hygienists, prepare treatment rooms, and help manage patient flow and education. A strong emphasis on infection control and patient comfort is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous chairside dental assisting experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks; collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

The wage for this DentalAssistantposition is$25-$30/hourdepending on skills, experience, and location.
