Job summary

West Fraser is seeking a Millwright for the Alberta Plywood Division in Edmonton to support a continuous maintenance improvement program. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, reading blueprints, and handling hydraulic equipment alongside a team of tradespeople.

The role requires a valid journeyperson Millwright certification, strong mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety.

• Millwright certification required (Inter-Provincial or Provincial).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work closely with other trades and employees.

Responsibilities

• Maintain pumps, conveyors, compressors, mechanical systems, rollers, belts, bearings and hydraulics in the manufacturing process.
• Manage costs associated with maintenance activities.
