Our Certified Electricians must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays, as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Test, repair, and calibrate electric and electronic components
• Maintain, repair, test, and install electrical motors and VFDs
• Conduct preventive maintenance and keep accurate records
• Interpret electrical codes, blueprints, and diagrams
• Perform physically demanding tasks in an industrial environment
• Communicate effectively with team members
• Collaborate with engineers and maintenance staff to improve equipment reliability
• Utilize computer software for troubleshooting and monitoring
• Support safety and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and standards such as OHSA, CSA Z462, and the Canadian Electrical Code

Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician Certification (309A)
• Experience with electrical diagrams, multimeters, and diagnostic tools
• Strong knowledge of safety systems and machine guarding

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and VFDs
• Experience with industrial automation systems
• Experience in the OSB or wood products industry
