Job Responsibilities

• Test electrical systems with tools such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and ohmmeters to identify issues, ensure safety, and verify compatibility.
• Document actions, test results, observations, diagnoses, and steps taken to resolve issues.
• Repair electrical problems by replacing or installing components, wiring, or devices.
• Perform conduit bending.
• Assess electrical situations using testing devices, blueprints, and maps.
• Maintain a safe work environment following company and OSHA guidelines, reporting violations as necessary.
• Use ladders, scaffolding, platforms, and lifts to work on electrical systems in various settings.
• Respond promptly to emergency calls, assess safety, and provide guidance to ensure safety and comfort.
• Maintain equipment to ensure safety and functionality, reporting issues to supervisors.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Completed electrician apprenticeship
• Current (unexpired) California Journeyman Electrician Card
• Proficiency with the National Electrical Code and local codes
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to read blueprints
• Valid state license

Preferred:

• Experience with commercial and telecommunication electrical systems
