Job summary

Trican Well Service Ltd. is seeking a Cement Operator in Red Deer, Alberta. This full-time role focuses on safe operation of cementing equipment, site-to-site movement, and strict compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.

You will perform inspections, maintain records, and support rig-up/rig-out activities while working under supervision. Excellent physical fitness and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 Driver's licence required.
• High school diploma is an asset.
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract may be requested.
• Physically fit – heavy lifting required.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Skilled in problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate cementing equipment safely on shift.
• Drive truck-mounted pumping and bulk hauling under supervision.

CEMENT OPERATOR – RED DEER (RDC)

The Cement Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Trican’s core value, “Safe equipment and operations” is the priority in all activities
• Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
• Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
• Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
• Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

• Valid Class 1 Driver’s licence required
• High school diploma is an asset
