Job summary

Trican Well Service Ltd. is seeking a Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator for Grande Prairie. You will ensure safe operation of equipment during shifts, perform inspections, and maintain documentation while working under supervision.

The role requires a valid Class 5 license, strong communication, and readiness for on-call duties in diverse weather conditions. Excellent safety culture, opportunities for training, and a benefits package are provided as part of a values-driven team focused on growth

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class 5 license and interest in obtaining Class 1.
• Safe driving skills and a clean driver’s abstract may be requested.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Strong leadership and managerial abilities are expected.
• Physically fit with ability to perform heavy lifting.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety priority in all activities and uphold core values.
• Follow Workplace Safety, environmental, and regulatory policies.
• Operate truck-mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment under supervision.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and driver logs per procedures.
• Maintain unit binders with permits, paperwork, and maintenance records.
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment; rig-out for travel.
• Move equipment to subsequent site and perform maintenance on pumping units.

Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator – Grande Prairie (GPC)

The Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
• Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
• Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
• Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
• Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills

• Valid Class 5 license with interest in obtaining Class 1
• High school diploma is an asset
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
• Physically fit – heavy lifting required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Skilled in problem-solving techniques
