Job summary

Trican Well Service Ltd. is Canada’s largest well service company, built on strong values and a culture of innovation. Based in Grande Prairie, we seek a motivated Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator to join our team and help us safely operate equipment on site.

You will drive, rig-up and maintain pumping units, perform pre-trip inspections, and uphold safety and regulatory standards while supporting our teams across locations.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 license; interest in obtaining Class 1.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract may be requested.
• Physically fit with ability to perform heavy lifting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Strong leadership and managerial skills.
• Skilled in problem-solving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely during shift and uphold core value: We won’t put anyone in harm’s way.
• Adhere to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code and client policies.
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations under supervision.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections with driver logs following procedures.
• Keep unit binders up to date with permits, regulatory paperwork, inspections and maintenance docs.
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment.
• Rig-out of equipment for travel and move to the next site; perform maintenance on pumping units and related equipment.

CLASS 5CEMENT OR COIL OPERATOR – GRANDE PRAIRIE (GPC)

The Class 5 Cement or Coil Operator is responsible for the safe operation of equipment during their shift.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that Trican’s core value, “We won’t put anyone in harm’s way” is the priority in all activities
• Ensure adherence to Workplace Safety, Environmental, National Safety Code, Trican Well Service Ltd, government, as well as client policies and regulations
• Drive truck mounted pumping and bulk hauling equipment between locations safely and efficiently while under qualified supervision
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections by accurately completing corresponding driver log forms while remaining in accordance with Trican inspection procedures
• Keep unit binders up to date including all permits, government regulatory paperwork, iron inspections, and maintenance documentation
• Rig-up treating iron, manifolds and recording equipment
• Rig-out of all equipment for travel and conduct movement to following site
• Perform maintenance operations to pumping units and auxiliary equipment

Experience & Skills:

• Valid Class 5license with interest in obtaining Class 1
• High school diploma is an asset
• Safe driving skills; driver’s abstract will be requested
• Physically fit – heavy lifting required
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong leadership and managerial skills
• Skilled in problem-solving techniques
