Job summary

QXO is hiring a truck driver to inspect, load, and deliver building products across sites in Canada. You will set up job parameters, ensure safe loading/unloading, and maintain contact with the dispatcher to meet delivery timelines.

Applicants must be 21+, hold a valid CDL Class A or B, and have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. Outdoor work and teamwork are essential, with safety PPE required at all times.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Pre-inspect truck, load materials, and verify load accuracy.
• Set up job parameters and inspect site for safe loading/unloading.
• Assist with lifting or moving product as needed (75+ pounds).
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher for timely delivery.
• Keep branch management informed of on-site hazards.
• Follow safety protocols and wear PPE at all times.

What You’ll Do

• Pre‑inspect truck, load materials, and verify accuracy of load
• Set up job parameters, inspect site to ensure a safe environment to load and unload
• Occasionally may be asked to provide assistance with lifting, pushing, or moving product as needed
• Touch freight – may need to lift, push, or move product weighing 75+ pounds
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of the product
• Ensure branch management is aware of potential hazards on site
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE

What You’ll Bring
