Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products, actively seeking a customer service professional to serve as the primary contact for key customers. You will respond to inquiries by phone and email, support sales growth, and collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to achieve targets.

You will manage the full order lifecycle from entry to delivery, track orders, and promote private-label products and digital solutions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years in sales or customer service, preferably in building materials.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact for key customers via phone and email.
• Deliver customer service that supports sales growth and satisfaction.
• Partner with Outside Sales Representatives to meet sales targets.
• Manage the full order lifecycle from entry to delivery, tracking orders.
• Suggest strategies to increase adoption of private-label products and digital solutions.
• Support OSRs in account growth strategies and QBRs.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries while supporting daily operations.
• Resolve customer issues efficiently, remotely or onsite as required.

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers, responding promptly to inquiries and concerns by phone and email.
• Deliver exceptional customer service that supports sales growth and strengthens customer satisfaction.
• Partner with Outside Sales Representatives (OSRs) to build customer relationships and achieve sales targets.
• Manage the full order lifecycle—from order entry through delivery—including tracking orders and recommending complementary products.
• Recommend strategies that increase the adoption of private-label products and digital solutions.
• Support OSRs in developing account growth strategies and preparing Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
• Help ensure deliveries are timely and accurate while supporting day-to-day customer operations.
• Resolve customer issues efficiently while working remotely or from company offices, as required.

What you'll bring

• A minimum of two years of experience in sales or customer service, preferably within the building materials industry.
• Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and sound judgment.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to work at a desk for extended periods and communicate frequently by phone and email.
