Job summary

QXO is a leading distributor and installer of building products seeking a motivated outside sales professional to manage and grow an existing customer base in the Delson area. You will drive wallet-share, retention, and satisfaction through close collaboration with branch ops, inside sales, and customer support teams.

Ideal candidates bring 1–3 years in sales or account management, experience in building materials or related industries, and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in outside sales, account management, inside sales, or customer-facing roles.
  • Experience in building materials, construction, wholesale distribution, or related industry preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships and support account growth.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort using CRM systems, sales technology, and data to manage activity and accounts.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow an assigned book of existing customers through wallet share expansion and relationship development.
  • Execute account plans focused on customer retention, service excellence, and incremental growth.
  • Conduct regular customer visits, job-site meetings, and check-ins to understand customer needs and support ongoing projects.
  • Partner with branch operations, inside sales, and customer support teams to deliver a high-quality customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Outside Sales Representatives to transition newly acquired customers into managed accounts.
  • Participate in joint customer calls and onboarding meetings for smooth handoffs.
  • Identify new business opportunities through referrals and existing relationships.
  • Align customers with manufacturer partners and vendor resources for education and project needs.
  • Negotiate pricing and terms within company guidelines.
  • Utilize CRM and sales tools to manage activity, pipeline visibility, and account documentation.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, programs, and market dynamics.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned territory to support relationships.

What You'll Do
  • Manage and grow an assigned book of existing customers through wallet share expansion and relationship development.

  • Align customers with manufacturer partners and vendor resources to support product education and project needs.
