Job summary

QXO, a leading distributor and installer of building products in Canada, is seeking a CDL driver for outdoor loading and delivery operations. You will pre-inspect, load, and secure loads, while ensuring safety and compliance on every site visit.

You must be 21+, hold a valid Class A or B CDL, and have at least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience. Expect exposure to heavy equipment and weather conditions, with opportunities within a supportive team and robust benefits.

• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and manual transmission trucks.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Pre-inspect truck, load materials, and verify accuracy of load.
• Set up job parameters, inspect site to ensure a safe environment to load and unload.
• Occasionally assist with lifting, pushing, or moving product as needed.
• Touch freight and lift, push, or move product weighing 75+ pounds.
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure branch management is aware of potential hazards on site.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE daily.

What You'll Do

• Pre-inspect truck, load materials, and verify accuracy of load
• Set up job parameters, inspect site to ensure a safe environment to load and unload
• Occasionally may be asked to provide assistance with lifting, pushing, or moving product as needed
• Touch freight – may need to lift, push, or move product weighing 75+ pounds
• Maintain regular communication with dispatcher to ensure timely delivery of the product
• Ensure branch management is aware of potential hazards on site
• Demonstrate a daily commitment to safety and adhere diligently to all safety protocols, while always wearing appropriate PPE
