Are you ready to take the next big step in your hospitality career ? Four Seasons Hotel Toronto is currently looking for a talented and dynamic Catering Sales Manager who shares our passion for excellence and who infuses enthusiasm into everything they do !

About the role:

The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for booking catering events for the hotel. The Catering Manager will oversee all aspects of client liaison and build new client relationships within the marketplace on a continuous basis. Dealing with group business and private individual clients, the Catering Manager is respo nsible for plannin g all details of an event and managing client requirements to ensure that events run smoothly and accounts are kept in order for a seaml ess follow-up after all events .

What you will do:

• Respond to inquiries and actively solicit new business with the intention of confirming profitable catering business and achieving Monthly Production Goals.
• Uncover clients’ implied needs and wishes and create highly customized proposals accordingly.
• Create and conduct memorable site inspection experiences, showcasing the hotel and setting it apart from the competition to maximize business capture, through intuitive selling.
• Participate in weekly Sales Meeting, Operations Meeting, Banquet Event Order (BEO) Meeting and any other required meetings relevant to the role.
• Entertain event tastemakers on a regular basis.
• Coordinate the sales efforts between sales department and catering to ensure proper utilization of function space to yield maximum revenues.
• Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings while maximizing revenue potential through up selling and ensuring effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event. Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks and provide bill review on completion of events.
• Keep Director of Catering promptly and fully informed of all potential challenges or unusual matter so prompt corrective action can be taken where appropriate.
• Supervise the execution of banquet events. Review all function space with banquet manager and when required head house attendant. Ensure satisfaction of clients throughout and at the outset of all events.

What you will bring:

• Minimum 2-3 years previous catering sales experience in a luxury resort/hotel.
• Exceptional communication skills and command of English language.
• Additional language a definite asset for career growth.
• Strong organizational skills.
• High level of creativity and attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast-paced client driven environment.
• Able to handle a large volume of telephone calls in an efficient and professional manner.
• Proficient in Amadeus, Golden Sales and Catering Computer Software, Microsoft 365 (including Outlook, Excel, and Word) and OPERA.
• Food & Beverage knowledge is an asset.
• Works well under pressure and is a team player.
• Strong selling and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends and evenings.
