Catering Event Manager
Coast Restaurant is seeking a full-time Catering Event Manager.
Location: Coast Restaurant @ 1054 Alberni Street, Vancouver, BC
Job Description:
- Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of a restaurant, bar, cafeteria, or other food or beverage service.
- Determine type of services to be offered and implement operational procedures.
- Recruit staff and oversee staff training.
- Set staff work schedules and monitor staff performance.
- Control inventory, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed.
- Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
- Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities for banquets or receptions.
- Proactively solicit event sales.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar position and environment.
- Must have a passion for the hospitality industry.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Excellent leadership and motivation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize, organize, and follow through as necessary.
- A clear thinker.
- Capacity to work well under pressure.
- Ability to hold oneself and others accountable.
- High school graduate.
- Ability to communicate in English.
Wage: $30.00 per hour
Minimum: 30 hours per week
