Job summary

Karis Disability Services is seeking a casual Transitional Relief Support Professional to join our Oshawa/Pickering area. The role involves call-in/back-fill support, helping with activities of daily living, and adhering to location protocols. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and overnight, with a casual wage of $25.82 per hour.

A valid G license and access to reliable transport are preferred. Experience with behaviour support plans, supporting people in contact with the criminal justice

Job description

Casual Transitional Support Professional within Pickering, ON which includes days, evenings, weekends and overnight shifts. Casual wage is $25.82. This location is not on a typical bus route. Full G license and personal automobile insurance preferred. Experience with Behaviour Support Plans, supporting people interacting with the Criminal Justice System, dual diagnosis, autism, and FASD. Current NVCI, Safe Management, and First Aid/CPR an asset.

TRANSITIONAL RELIEF SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

The Transitional Relief Support provides call-in or back-fill support to people supported. They assist with activities of daily living and work within the protocols of the location. They work with other employees on shift to provide supports and services to people. Working within Karis Disability Services’ Service Principles, the Transitional Relief Support considers each person’s intrinsic value. As part of the clinical duties, the Transitional Relief Support may be required to provide reports on clinical interventions. They liaise with clinical professionals, collect appropriate data, and actively carry out appropriately prescribed programs & treatments to address the clinical, behavioral and/or mental health needs of people supported by Karis Disability Services. They complete administrative duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Requirements

• Educational requirement of Developmental Service Worker or apprenticeship actively in process, Child and Youth Care Diploma or apprenticeship actively in process, or Diploma or Degree in a Related Human Services Field.
