Job summary

BrightPath Kids is seeking an Early Childhood educator to implement our curriculum, foster development, and ensure a safe learning environment in Acadia, AB. The role emphasizes collaboration with families and staff, progress discussions, and ongoing professional development.

You’ll work in a supportive team, with a strong focus on child well-being, cleanliness, and organized classroom materials while contributing to a vibrant education community at BrightPath.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education certification or teaching degree as required.
• Must meet provincial childcare employment requirements.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health rules.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment safeguarding children's well-being.
• Assess children's abilities and progress; discuss with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and engage in professional development as needed.
• Maintain classroom materials and organization.

What will you be doing?

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
