Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Acadia, AB is hiring an Early Childhood Educator at levels 1, 2 or 3. You will work closely with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children, implementing BrightPath’s curriculum and maintaining a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Education Level 3 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent.
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a BrightPath curriculum-aligned program for young children.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assessing children's abilities, interests, and needs; communicating progress to families.
• Collaborating with coworkers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development sessions as needed.
• Supporting daily classroom operations and activities.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
