Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Calgary, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator for the Acadia Centre in a casual/supply role. The position offers a supportive team, a home-like learning environment, and no evenings or weekends.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing programs aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum, maintaining a safe, clean classroom, and communicating with families. Must have ECE Level 1 or B.Ed./Equivalent; First Aid and CPR are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Early Childhood Education - Level 1 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintain an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assess the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Work to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:
