Job summary

BrightPath Kids is hiring an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3. You will work with teachers and families to provide a nurturing home-like environment, developing programs aligned with BrightPath’s curriculum and ensuring the well-being of children.

Requirements include ECE Level 3 or B.Ed./Equivalent, provincial childcare eligibility, and current First Aid/CPR. We offer wage range CAD 17–19 per hour, with benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• ECE Level 3 Certification or B.Ed./Equivalent required.
• Meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant/child CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a BrightPath curriculum-based program to support child development.
• Maintain a safe, healthy environment for children in care.
• Assess abilities and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Collaborate with co-workers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and participate in professional development.
• Keep classroom materials clean and organized.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator - Level 1, 2 or 3, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath’s curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
