Job summary

BrightPath Kids in Calgary, AB is seeking an Early Childhood Educator for casual/supply roles. You will work with teachers and families to provide a warm, home-like environment where children can learn and grow.

Responsibilities include implementing BrightPath curricula, promoting child well-being, assessing progress, and collaborating with staff and families. Be prepared to participate in meetings and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• ECE certification or equivalent as required by province.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Immunization and health assessment per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a program aligned with BrightPath curriculum to support children's development.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming and clean classroom environment.
• Assess children's abilities, interests and needs; discuss progress with parents and staff.
• Establish collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as needed.
• Assist in keeping classroom materials organized and well-maintained.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Early Childhood Educator, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Early Childhood Education - Level 1, 2, or 3 Certification OR B.Ed./Equivalent
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
