BrightPath Kids in Calgary, AB is seeking a Casual/Supply/Substitute Early Childhood Educator. The role offers a pay range of $17.00–$19.00 per hour with government wage enhancements and no evenings or weekends.

Join a community of dedicated staff and provide developmentally appropriate care to children in BrightPath’s curriculum framework. Responsibilities include implementing programs, ensuring safety, assessing child needs, and collaborating with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant/child CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing a program aligned with BrightPath's curriculum to support children’s development.
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and supportive environment for children.
• Assessing abilities and needs of children and communicating progress with parents and staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with coworkers, management and families.
• Attending staff meetings and participating in professional development.
• Maintaining classroom materials and organization.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

• Developing and implementing a program in line with BrightPath's curriculum that supports the development of children.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Assessing the abilities, interests, and needs of children and discuss progress with parents and other staff.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
