Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Maple Ridge, BC is seeking an Early Childhood Assistant to support ECEs and ITs in daily classroom activities. This casual role focuses on safe, engaging activities and respectful interactions with children and families.

Qualifications

• Early Childhood Assistant Certification is required.
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR.
• Current immunization and health assessment as per local Health Requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting ECEs and ITs with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.
