Job summary

BrightPath Kids on Queen Campus Centre in Ontario is seeking a Casual Early Childhood Assistant to support teachers and families, ensuring a safe, welcoming home-like environment for children. This role is part-time/casual with no evenings or weekends and offers a childcare discount and diverse learning opportunities.

You will assist with classroom instruction, help maintain a clean, organized classroom, and engage children in activities while collaborating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification, or Registered Early Childhood Educator
• Must meet province requirements for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR
• Current immunizations and health assessment as per local requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs

Responsibilities

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interacting with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establishing collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attending staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Working to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?
Responsibilities
As an CASUAL Early Childhood Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.
