Job summary

BrightPath Early Learning & Child Care in Milton, ON is seeking a Casual Early Childhood Educator/Assistant to support teachers and families in providing a safe, home-away-from-home environment for children. This role is a casual/supply/substitute position with no evenings or weekends.

You will assist in classrooms, participate in staff meetings and professional development, and help keep materials organized.

Qualifications

• High School/Equivalent required.
• Early Childhood Assistant Certification or Registered ECE is required.
• Current Standard First Aid and infant CPR are required.
• Immunization and health assessment as per local health requirements.
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintain an environment that protects the well-being of children.
• Interact with children to encourage their involvement in activities.
• Establish collaborative relationships with co-workers, management, and families.
• Attend staff meetings and professional development opportunities as necessary.
• Work to maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials.
• Other duties as assigned.

What will you be doing?

As an Casual Early Childhood Educator/Assistant, you will work side-by-side with teachers and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with instruction in the classroom.
• Maintaining an environment that protects the well-being of children.

Requirements:

• High School/Equivalent required, Early Childhood Assistant Certification, or Registered Early Childhood Educator
• Must meet province requirement for childcare employment
• Current Standard First Aid and infant child CPR
• Current immunization and health assessment as per the local Minister of Health Requirements
• Experience in planning and implementing programs.
