Job summary

Karis Disability Services is seeking a Casual Direct Support Professional to assist individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. The role requires flexibility for days, evenings, night shifts, and weekends, with hours tied to vacancies and holidays.

Applicants should have a valid Saskatchewan driver's license, access to reliable transportation, and a clear Vulnerable Sector Police Check. Relevant post-secondary education is preferred.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check.
• Valid Sask. Full class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license & access to reliable transportation.
• Satisfactory Driver's Abstract.

Responsibilities

• Support people with developmental disabilities in daily living at home and in the community.
• Assist clients to live as independently as possible within their communities.
• Collaborate with clients, families, and care teams to promote inclusion and safety.

Job description

CASUAL DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL-Warman

The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts that include days, evenings, night-awakes, and weekends. Hours are dependent on the need to fill in on personal holidays, stat holidays, sick days, and any other vacancy, not to fill a permanent rotation in the schedule.

A valid Sask. Full class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license is required.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) employees work with people who experience developmental disabilities as they live in their homes and communities. This position assists people in their daily life, working with them and their connections to ensure that they can live fully in the community.

Requirements:

• Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
• A valid Sask. Full class 5 or Sask. Novice 2 driver's license & access to reliable transportation
• Satisfactory Driver's Abstract

Preferred:

• 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
• Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
