Job summary

Hard Rock Ottawa Hotel & Casino is seeking a Shift Lead Security to oversee casino security operations during an assigned shift. This role blends leadership as a Security Supervisor with frontline duties as a Security Officer to keep guests, staff and assets safe.

You will respond to incidents, coordinate security teams, and ensure compliance with AGCO regulations and company policies. The ideal candidate has a post-secondary diploma in Law and Security, First Aid/ CPR, and solid customer

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma in Law and Security or related field.
• Proficiency in standard computer applications and security systems.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification, along with Non-Violent Intervention certification.
• Possession of a valid Class G driver’s license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain registration as a Category1 Gaming Assistant with the AGCO.
• Must be 19+ years of age and available to work holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Supervise security staff and assist with hiring, training and evaluations.
• Protect assets and report to authorities; ensure guest and employee safety.
• Provide first aid and maintain a strong security presence on the gaming floor.
• Ensure compliance with AGCO regulations and company policies.
• Mentor team members to deliver superior guest service.
• Oversee security for money transfers and incident reporting.
