Job summary

Petroglyph Development Group is seeking a Director of Operations for Casino Nanaimo to lead all site operations and ensure profitability, guest experience, and strategic alignment with corporate objectives.

The role oversees budgeting, labour, and operating expenses, driving performance, safety, and engagement in a unionized, dynamic casino environment. Evening/weekend availability and strong stakeholder management are required.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience across multi-department operations in gaming, hospitality, or service-driven environments.
• Strong financial acumen including budgeting, forecasting, P&L and reporting.
• Experience leading unionized workforces and managing labour relations.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy, operational standards, and business objectives.
• Develop and manage site budgets, forecasts, and financial performance, including revenue, labour, and operating expenses.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators, analyze financial and operational trends, and implement corrective actions as required.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, maximize profitability, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive business growth.
• Execute operational and marketing initiatives that strengthen the property’s performance and market presence.
• Provide regular financial and operational reporting to senior leadership.
