Job summary

Gateway Casinos and Entertainment Limited in Kelowna, BC, is seeking a Games Manager for Playtime Casino. This full-time role oversees gaming floor operations, leads frontline staff, ensures compliance with gaming standards, and supports payroll and scheduling.

You will motivate and develop the team, resolve customer issues quickly, coordinate with HR for recruitment, monitor customer satisfaction, and maintain inventory and game resources.

Qualifications

• Gaming Experience is an asset, but not a requirement.
• Proficiency in computer programs such as but not limited to MS Word and Excel.
• Proven organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and proven organizational skills.
• Excellent people management skills.
• Capacity to manage a team and take over various roles as required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and observes pit activity, providing direction to front line employees as required.
• Ensures compliance to gaming standards/regulations and policies/procedures.
• Supervises and manages the performance of individuals through ongoing coaching, feedback and development to motivate, engage and drive a high-performing team.
• Promotes and models exceptional customer service.
• Works quickly to resolve customer complaints.
• Completes various tasks to ensure effective operations, including planning for adequate employees’ levels and managing payroll.
• Oversees staff scheduling and management.
• Collaborates with Human Resources to develop recruitment plans based on labour needs, participates in internal and external job candidate selection, including screening, conducting interviews, testing and related activities.
• Monitors and analyzes customer satisfaction scores to gain customer insight.
• Coordinates gaming floor maintenance as well as conducts card, dice and tile reconciliation.
• Manages layout inventory to ensure adequate gaming resource availability.
• Monitors game operations to ensure that house rules are followed, and laws and regulations are adhered to.
