Job summary

Vaco Recruiter Services is seeking an AR/Cash Applications Clerk in the Greater Toronto Area. You will process payments, apply cash to invoices, reconcile cash accounts and prepare deposits. You’ll review remittances, resolve discrepancies and support the AR team as needed.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year in accounting, strong numerical skills and Excel proficiency. This on-site role offers discretionary bonuses and benefits including a retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable or Cash Applications.
• Strong attention to detail and numerical skills.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with BlackLine or similar accounting systems is an asset.

About the Opportunity

• Prepare bank deposits and reconcile cash accounts.
• Process customer direct deposit requests and maintain accurate records.
• Provide backup support to the Cash Applications/Accounts Receivable team.
• Assist with other accounting and administrative duties as required.

About You

• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience in Accounting, Accounts Receivable or Cash Applications.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy and numerical skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills with the ability to multitask.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with BlackLine or similar accounting systems is an asset.

Pay Range

$22 - $24 / hour
