The Salvation Army Hamilton Booth Centre is seeking a Case Worker for a temporary full-time 10-month contract. The role involves managing a caseload, conducting intake assessments, and coordinating referrals to community services to support residents.

You will provide problem-solving and referral counseling, maintain records, and assist with front desk duties while upholding confidentiality and harm-reduction principles.

Competenze

• University/college diploma in Social Service or related life experience.
• Experience with intake, assessment and shelter programs is preferred.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow policy guidelines.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain a caseload; complete intake and VI SPDAT assessments.
• Provide problem-solving/referral counseling to shelter residents.
• Develop networks and referrals to community services and department resources.
• Record shift activities clearly in log books and respond to crises.
• Support front desk operations and respond to client needs during meals.
