Job summary

YMCA BC is seeking a Case Manager for the StepForward program to guide refugees from intake through employment placement, coordinating wraparound supports and addressing settlement barriers.

You will coordinate referrals, deliver employability workshops, and manage employer relationships while maintaining trauma-informed, culturally responsive service delivery. This permanent, full-time role includes 35 hours weekly and benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience in employment, settlement, newcomer, or social services.
• Experience supporting refugees, newcomers, or diverse populations preferred.
• Strong facilitation, employer engagement, and case management skills.
• Knowledge of community resources and labour market trends.
• Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and client management systems.
• Successful candidate will be required to provide 3 satisfactory references.
• Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Record check with a Vulnerable sector search issued no later than six (6) months preceding the start date.

Responsibilities

• Conduct participant intake, eligibility screening, assessments, and employment planning.
• Deliver employability, workplace readiness, and job search workshops.
• Coordinate participant supports and referrals.
• Support workplace placements and employer relationships.
• Provide ongoing case management and employment retention support.
• Conduct outreach and participant recruitment activities.
• Maintain participant records, outcome tracking, and reporting.
• Collaborate with employer partners and community agencies.
• Apply trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and participant-centred service delivery practices
