Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking Carpenters to join our team in Canada. You will apply your expertise in concrete formwork, falsework, reinforcing, placing and finishing, while reading and building to drawings and specifications.

As a Carpenter, you will support the department and Superintendent, supervise labourers, and ensure safe use of forklifts, skid steers, scissor lifts and power tools. A valid driver's license and tools are required.

Qualifications

• Proficient in concrete formwork, falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Able to read and build to construction drawings and specifications.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.
• Willing to work a 14/7 rotation with time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.

As our Carpenter, you will provide support to the department and Superintendent.

Position Overview:

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools .
• Supervise labourers and resources as required.

Qualifications Needed:

• Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.
