Job summary

FWS Group of Companies is seeking Carpenters to join our collaborative and team-focused organization in Calgary, Alberta. You will contribute to concrete formwork, falsework, reinforcing, placing and finishing as part of our design-build team.

You will read construction drawings, build to specifications, supervise labourers, and ensure safe operation of equipment such as forklifts, skid steers, lifts and power tools. An apprenticeship path or carpentry experience is required.

Qualifications

  • Experience in carpentry and formwork
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Willingness to supervise labourers and manage resources

Responsibilities

  • Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.

Position Overview
  • Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
  • Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
  • Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
  • Supervise labourers and resources as required.
Qualifications Needed
  • Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are required.
  • Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
  • Own and maintain basic trade tools.
  • Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.
