Job summary

FWS Group of Companies seeks Carpenters to join a collaborative team in Winnipeg. The role focuses on forming, reinforcing, placing, and finishing concrete as per drawings and specs.

You will also supervise labourers and allocate resources while ensuring safe operation of equipment. Applicants should have carpentry experience or be enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program, hold a valid driver’s license, and be available for a 14/7 rotation with time away from home.

Position Overview

• Proficient knowledge of concrete formwork and falsework, reinforcing, placing, and finishing.
• Read and understand construction drawings and be able to build to drawings and specifications.
• Responsible for safe use of equipment including forklift, skid steer loader, scissor lifts, and power tools.
• Supervise labourers and resources as required.

Qualifications Needed

• Appropriate level of carpentry experience or enrolled in an Apprenticeship Program.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle are required.
• Must be able to work a 14/7 work rotation with extended time away from home.
• Own and maintain basic trade tools.
• Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing may be required.
